It's a useful tool for both consumers and businesses in terms of transparency in how products are made and their environmental impact and has the potential to become an invaluable resource. What I'd like to see from Sourcemap in the future is a smartphone application letting you scan barcodes in a shop and use their information to inform your shopping decisions. But anything that brings awareness to the full life of products gets the thumbs up from me.
