Repurposed Vintage Suitcases

Here’s four cool things that you can do with the old suitcases in your loft.

1. Coffee Table
Ashley Poskin, a talented designer maker from Denver, Colorado has repurposed seven vintage suitcases into beautiful coffee tables. She retails them on Etsy here.

She shares her knowledge, too, so if you have your own suitcase and don’t want to fork out £585.69 you can follow the instructions here on Design Sponge and make your own.

2. Boom Box
My personal favourite, The BoomCase Store offers the ultimate in vintage suitcase upcycling. They have converted literally hundreds of suitcases into “Self Powered, Portable Suitcase Stereo Systems”. BoomCases run for 10hrs on their batteries and plug-in-only versions are available which are lighter and lower price.

What I especially like about this site is that you can peruse and reserve suitcase that have not yet been converted – click here.
